Fidelis SeniorCare is a leader in the development of Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans for eligible individuals residing in nursing homes and assisted living communities. Fidelis contracts with the federal government under the Medicare Advantage Program to provide Medicare benefits plus enhanced coverage specifically designed for this special needs population.
Today the company administers Fidelis SecureCare plans in two states, Michigan and North Carolina. Fidelis SecureCare plans are available for those qualified individuals who require more focused coordination of clinical care than traditional Medicare can provide. Our contracted physicians and their extenders, nurse practitioners and Fidelis Care Managers provide the highest quality care while effectively managing the medical and psychosocial needs of our Members.

SAMUEL R. WILLCOXON, President and Chief Executive Officer, brings a wealth of expertise to the company, having performed in a variety of senior management roles in Fortune 100 and privately funded healthcare service companies. Sam began his career at Baxter International as a sales representative. From there, he rose over a period of 14 years through a variety of sales/marketing and general management positions, most notably in the Caremark subsidiary. In his final position at Caremark, he was responsible for the creation and leadership of its Physician Practice Management division. In this capacity, he led the division from inception to over $700 million in revenues within two years. In 1995, Sam left Caremark to pursue the leadership of a venture backed healthcare services firm. This company was sold in 1997. Since then, he has worked as an independent consultant focused on the turn around of healthcare service companies. He has been retained by nationally recognized healthcare venture capitalists in these efforts.

DR. MICHAEL LE, Chief Medical Officer, joined Fidelis SeniorCare to oversee corporate medical policy and ensure the delivery of consistent, clinically proven, effective care. Dr. Le works to develop strategies that improve members’ access to new and innovative healthcare services. He has also overseen the development of Fidelis SecureHome in the Seattle and Detroit markets. This model of care provides a high touch, concierge medicine level of care, 24/7, to chronically frail, dual-eligible patients.
Dr. Le has more than 12 years of experience managing frail elders at some of the most preeminent healthcare organizations in the country. He started his career as a hospitalist at HealthCare Partners (HCP), the largest physician-owned medical group in the country, and rose to the position of lead hospitalist. In that role, he had direct responsibility for all aspects of inpatient care, including medical, financial and quality outcomes. After HCP, Dr. Le joined CareMore Health Plan as senior medical officer, in charge of case management, high risk programs, home visit team and palliative hospice programs. In addition to these administrative programs, he was also clinically active as an “extensivist,” seeing patients in the hospital, nursing home, post-discharge clinic and in their homes. Dr. Le received his medical degree from UCLA and completed his residency in Internal Medicine from Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

GREG BELLWARE, Chief Marketing Officer, brings more than 25 years of senior level healthcare management and business development experience to Fidelis. Most recently, Greg served as executive vice president of strategic development for MDVIP, the nation’s leading concierge medicine company, where he was responsible for marketing, business development and sales support. Prior to MDVIP, he served as senior vice president, medical services for AllianceCare, managing the company’s national network of physicians and nurse practitioners. As senior vice president for InteliStaf, Inc., Greg led their new business efforts and designed and launched a new business model for hospital partnerships. Other leadership roles include: president of US Healthworks Development Corp., a startup occupational medicine business; division president for TheraTx, Inc. (THTX-NASDAQ) and president of Bay Development, a subsidiary of Helix Health System.

VALERIE BERGERON, SVP of Community Ambulatory Operations, is a seasoned senior operations and management executive in strategic business planning, multi-site operations management, corporate finance and budgeting, MIS strategic project management, human resources, negotiations, and profit center realignment and reengineering. She most recently served for two years as director of enterprise programs at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, Valerie spent 15 years in positions of increasing responsibility and ultimately rose to CEO of St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System/Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, Texas, where she was responsible for the leadership of a $340M, 21-clinic multi-site operation and the management of 306 physicians and 1300 employees.

CATHERINE KILEY, Corporate Medical Director, has more than 22 years of experience in long-term care in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining Fidelis, she served as the Medical Director for Evercare Southwest Ohio. Initially in private practice in Dayton, Ohio, as a Family Medicine physician, Dr. Kiley was among the first to dedicate her medical practice exclusively to caring for the elderly in the long term care continuum. While in Dayton, Dr. Kiley also established the current Geriatric Curriculum for residents in Internal Medicine at Kettering Medical Center and worked as the Network’s Medical Director of Community Wellness and Senior Services. Dr. Kiley holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics and is certified as a Medical Director through the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA) where she currently serves on the AMDA Foundation Board and is immediate past chair of the Education Committee. In 2006 Dr. Kiley was honored with the association’s James Pattee Award for Excellence in Education, which recognizes significant contribution to the educational goals of AMDA.
